Bathroom trim progress

Assorted home life complications have made getting the trim done even slower than normal. But there has been progress -
I made towel rails and toilet paper holders from black iron plumbing components. This might sound a little odd but it goes perfectly with the EMT conduit lights and the farm/industrial aesthetic of a barn. Plus the parts are really cheap! The downside is that I failed to install blocking behind the walls of the two bathrooms before the drywall was put up; this was a really dumb mistake made in the rush of trying to get to move in. As a result I had to cut out patches, install blocking, fix up the drywall, fill the gaps, wait for it to dry, sand, re-fill places, wait, rinse and repeat until done. Great way to spend time.

Plumbing components make great towel rails
I made a panel for the bath, echoing the style of...
Bath panel hides plumbing at last
... The soffit trim, which got made, fitted and painted at last. Making the damned things is simple enough but the sanding, painting, waiting, re-sand, finish coat, etc all takes time.
